Advocacy

Cory Trevena, M.Psych., works to advance the mission of Caron Treatment Center’s Education Department as a senior director, providing leadership to ensure that world-class prevention and early intervention services are provided to students, families and community partners. She focuses primarily on student assistance services for K-12 and higher education.

“Our work directly impacts the health and well-being of young people, enabling them to live their best lives,” she says. “Being in a position to make an impact on the future of our communities is incredibly humbling and rewarding.”

Cory takes pride in offering exceptional services for young people and their parents, recognizing the struggles that so many face in dealing with substance use. Prior to working at Caron, Cory spent five years providing early intervention services for young children on the autism spectrum, first as a therapeutic staff support, then as a behavior specialist consultant and private consultant.  As a board member of Next Step Berks, Cory attributes her commitment to the mission of the organization to those inspiring young children who are now at an age where they need appropriate housing options for their future.
